2018-19 Training Programme Launch Event
16:30–17:30 on 11 September 2018
As we approach the end of our first year as a research school, we would like to say a very big thank you to all of the colleagues – near and far – who have visited and worked with us this year. This amounts to 810 teachers from 160 schools with a wide geographical spread: West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, London, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Leicestershire, Yorkshire, Middlesex, Derbyshire, Hertfordshire and Cumbria.
This reinforces to us that there is a growing appetite for a more evidence informed approach to school improvement. With this in mind, we have planned 8 training programmes for 2018-19 – the details can be found here. We have tried to include a range of topics that we think will be high priority in school improvement plans over the coming year.
To help you make an informed decision about registering your staff on one or more of our programmes, we want to give you more information than can be posted on a website about each training programme. To do this, we are hosting a launch event on the following date:
Tuesday 11th September (4.30pm-5.30pm)
Refreshments (tea, coffee and cake) available from 4pm – for a 4.30pm start.
During the evening, there will be a general introduction to the work of the Research School and how we can work with you. Following this, there will be a ‘market-place’ of the training programmes. One of the programme leaders for each of the training programmes will be available to talk about the training programme and answer any questions you might have. There will also be the opportunity to reserve a place/s on the training programmes, with a 10% discount for any bookings that are made on the evening.
To reserve a place at our launch event, please email Lisa Edwards with your name and the names of any other colleagues who will be attending with you.Posted on 9 July 2018
